Kann mir jemand meine Hausaufgaben korrigieren? Vielen Dank!

When I start reading the text “A streetcar named desire” I thought the aging southern belle Blanche is a strange character. At first I didn’t understand her.
I didn’t understand why she doesn’t want to meet Mitch in the afternoon and why she doesn’t want him to switch on the light. But than I noticed what was wrong about her. She didn’t tell Mitch the truth about her age. Not just because she doesn’t want him to know how old she is, also because she doesn’t want to have notice about her age herself. She doesn’t want to be that old and so she blocks it out. The sentences “I don’t want realism” on page 35 in line 72 shows this very good.
While reading on I noticed what a sad person Blanche is. She lost Allan, who apparently was her boyfriend. After that she was very sad and tried to console herself with other men. She tried to fill the big gap in her heart, but it didn’t work. (Page 36, line 100-101: “After the death of Allan-intimacies with strangers was all I seemed able to fill my empty heart with.”
In the end you can see that Blanche doesn’t love Mitch. She is just with him because she needs somebody. Anyhow she says to Mitch that she never lied inside and that he should marry her. But I don’t believe that she loves him. She just can’t handle the situation that her youth had gone and so she tries to not to be alone but if there is Mitch or another man isn’t that important.

I think in general lying isn’t a good thing and rather it isn’t allowed to lie no matter in which situation you are. But it is a fact that everybody is lying sometimes. If there is a person, who affirms never to lie, this person lies exactly in this moment.
Although you should never forget, that lying can insult people. It can’t be an excuse for lying that everybody lies sometimes. Actually everyone should be able to handle situations without lying. It would be much fairer for everyone and a lot of problems, which are the consequences of lying, would disappear. You can see this in the story. Blanche lied at Mitch and so he left her. This was the thing she was most afraid for-being alone. Maybe Mitch wouldn’t go if there wasn’t that lie about her age.
In my opinion it is never all right to lie at her girl-or boyfriend or her wife or husband. These are the ones, who are the most associated persons with you. You should have that much trust in them that a lie isn’t necessary. The same is it with friends. If you lie at your friend you aren’t a really friend. Also in a family there shouldn’t be any lies.
Also when I am against lies I have to say that there are special situations when it is alright to lie. For example, when you want to surprise somebody. You never have time to meet your friend because you have a lot to do with the surprise for him and he asks you to meet him in the afternoon and you answer “ sorry, I had to make a lot of homework” you lie. But this would be a white lie and this doesn’t insult somebody, because after a few days your friend will understand everything and gets a surprise.
All in all I have to say that lying is a bad thing, which makes a lot of problems and insult other people. Just white lies are okay, but of course not everyday. |
