Meine Frage:
Also für ein KV in englisch habe ich mir das thema California gold rush ausgesucht, das Plakat habe ich fast fertig und jetz fehlt mir nur noch der Text.
Da ich es nicht so mit englisch habe bitte ich euch mal meinen text euch durchzulesen und meine fehler zu korrigieren...

The California gold rush from 1848 to 1854

During the California Gold Rush thousands of people searched for Gold.
On 24th January 1848 James W. Marshall discovered the first gold nugget.
Quickly the first people come from California to the gold area.
After a speech by President James k. Polk on 5th December 1848 the discovery of gold in California were officially confirmed.
In the following years hundreds of hundreds of people walking to California to find gold.
Between January 1848 and December 1849 San Francisco grown up from 1000 to 25000 residents.
Many people left their work and many business must close.
Few were really riche but most poor.
The people must pay a many for simple products.
1849 cost 1 egg a dollar and a newspaper cost 10 dollar.
So many people has become a big problem: from 1849 to 1851 San Francisco burned six times down.
Fleas and rats live between people.
In winter 1851 a epidemic broke out.
In front of the gold rush live over 150000 Indians in the area of the later state.
1870 only 3100.
In the same period the total population of California increased from 92000 of 560000.
About 60% of people in California died because illness.
Because of the strong growth in population California was on 18th October 1850 on of the 31 state of the USA.
In 1854 the gold was mined industrially, so that the time of the gold rush was over.
