Also,
BITTE! Ich wäre euch total dankbar!
The old men at the Working Men's Club are comparing
the old days with today. Fill in the correct forms of
to take, to have, to do, or to make
1.) In those days people used to be fair. When someone had to _______
a difficult job, another worker _______ over after a while. We used to _______ turns, you know.
2.) That's right. It was the same at our clubs. When we _______ a mess on the tables or damaged something, we cleaned it up or repaired it, or _______ somebody else _______ it for us.
These young people today just walk away.
3.) Or _______ a look at education. We _______ to pay for everything. It was a good thing, though. When you _______ a course, you tried to finish it and at the end you _______ an exam. And today, when everything is free? If they don't like it, they drop it.
4.) I don't think our children are so bad. In my daughter's family they share a lot of the work. My mother still _______ to _______ all the household work. In my daughter's family it's different. Her husband _______ the shopping, my grandchildren _______ the dishes and everybody _______ his own bed.
5.) Or think of the meals. We _______ our packed lunches along to the factory. Today most people can _______ lunch in the canteen or cafeteria, as they call it!
Bitte helft mir, ich glaube für einen guten Englisch-könner ist das ein Witz
Danke!
