Ich muss nächste Woche einen Englischvortrag über Minigolf halten und habe heute mit dem Schreiben begonnen. Das Englisch ist ziemlich schrecklich, ich weiss, aber könnte es vielleicht doch jemand durchlesen?
Material
Balls:
The most important ones of the material are the balls.
Because of the enormous differences between the individual balls.
They are different (vary) in their hardness, downthrow Ball fallen lassen, weight, surface (lacquering), color and bigness. Bälle mit versch. Eigenschaften herumreichen. There exist balls with and without lacquering. The lacquering varies once more, in clean (glatt) and rough lacquerings. Balls without lacquering or with rough lacquering are mostly use for (to make) effet (spin) shots (Schläge). I will show them to you later.
The Balls are made out of caoutchouc. Therefore, you can change their properties (Eigenschaften) by heating and cooling them. Each player has his own 100 to 500 balls. I esteem (schätze) that now are several thousand balls on the market. Normally a new ball costs between 20 and 30 franks, some special, (now unavailable (nicht erhältlich)) no more offered balls can cost more than 200 franks.
Bat (Schläger):
At miniature golf, you play with only one bat. (They are similar (ähnlich) the bats from golf usigng for putting.) They are made out of (various) different kinds of metallic minerals (metallische Mineralien) like steel (Stahl), brass (Messing) or aluminium. The heads of the bats vary in weight and (the) angle of inclination (Neigungswinkel). The Schlagfläche has to be fewer than 40cm². The Schlagfläche is laminated (beschichtet) with a rubber. Thereby (dadurch) for that especially hard balls better absorb from the bat. (Besser abfedern vom Schläger) and you do not have to strike out (ausholen) insofar as (so weit wie) without.
If you strike out to heavy, you are not able to play as precise as necessary. Furthermore (ausserdem) you achieve (erreichen) with a rubber more precision by effet shots. However, I will show you that later.
The most palyers wrap (umwickeln) their bat grip (Griff) with a ribbon out of leather or with something similar as a tennis-ribbon.
Aid (Hilfsmittel) and appendix/accessoires (Zubehör):
A good bat and good balls are not the only condition (Voraussetztung) for good and precise playing. You also have to have a ballbag and a ballcontainer, which is a big bag with holes inside to keep 100 to 200 balls inside. A professional player also has a special ballcase, a thermo-bag. To prepare balls for a delicate/awkward (heikel) cousre on, to the perfect temperature. But you don’t necessarly have to use such a High-tech help, you can also us a warming bag, made for camping, or warm the balls in your track pants (Trainingshose) bag. You should alwys have a besom (Besen) or cloths (Tücher) with you to clean the course before playing. By raining you have a scarper (Schaber) with you to remove (entfernen) the water on the cousre. Because the wetness (Feuchtigkeit) has an impact (Einfluss) on the reaction of the balls by playing above (über) a cushion (Bande) or through an obstacle, you have to dry the cushion and the obstacle. Whether (falls) is starts to rain during a lap (Runde) you have to cover (bedecken, abdecken) delicate (heikel) places with cloths or umbrellas.
Rules:
The purpouse of miniature golf is to play one lap, 18 courses with as few as possible shots.
Shot techniques:
Shot technique and posture (Körperhaltung)
Without the correct posture, the correct grip (Griff) of the bat and an ideal shot position (Schlagstellung) is it impossible to be successful (erfolgreich) in playing miniature golf.
At the shot position it is very important to learn how to position (positionieren) your feet. They should build an isosceles triangle (gleichschenkliges Dreieck) to the ball. Folie mit Abbildung zeigen. The distance between the ball and your feet should be between 25 and 50 cm. If you bend a little bit forward (ein wenig nach vorne beugen), you can look quite (ziemlich) exactly vertical (senkrecht, vertikal) on/to your ball. That way (auf diese Weise) you have the best control about your shot.
Batposition
For that, it is possible to make a controlled Schlagablauf you have to hold your grip right. The two most commonly used (am häufigsten gebrauchten) handholds (Griffe) are the fist- and the index finger- handhold. Folie mit Abbildung zeigen. Ziegen, wie ich den Schläger halte. At miniature golf, your shoulders are parallel to the Schlagrichtung way you play. The elbows (Ellenbogen) look a little bit towards outwards, for that you don’t touch your upper part of the body (Oberkörper) with them. That is important to not distort (verzerren) the shot.

The ability to (Fähigkeit zu) play the ball with the right force (Kraft) needs demands (erfordert) experience (Erfahrung) and regular (regelmässiges) training. |
