hallo,
painting discripton
The painting "Automat" is painted by Edward Hopper in 1979. The painting portrays a common situation. It is a painting at night. Nothing happens. A young woman, winterly dressed, is alone in a restaurant. She is sitting at an empty table, holing a cup in her right hand. The woman wears a brownish short dress, a yellow hat, which seems like a sun hat, a long green coat with a fur collar and a glove on the left hand. She does not wear a pantyhose, because you can see her legs under the table and tey are very pale with shadows. Her face is a bit pale and she has laid on make up. Her lips are salient red, her eyes are easy stressed with eye-shadow and her cheeks with a bit powder. She is looking down at the cup. In front of her stands a vancant chair. The canny tabletop acts cold like a glassy ice-area. the dark emptiness is spread out in the background. There is a window, on whose window - sill you can see a bowl filled with fruits. The only dash of salient coulor in the dark area. In the dark window the light from the restaurant is reflected. There is a yellow radiator in the picture on the left part in the corner. It can't warm up the denying coldness in this situation. There is also a glass door beside the radiator. It is very dark like the window, too.
But after all an emotional excitement is developed because of the kind how Hopper the composition whereby the light and the colours know to stage. As example: In this painting the woman seems as if she is absent, sad and very thoughtful.
Again he symbolises the loneliness, the isolation and the speechlessness in the urban life in his painting. For this symbol the automat - restaurant is the right setting because there it all works automatically.

Liane hat Folgendes geschrieben: | The painting "Automat" was painted by Edward Hopper in 1979. The painting portrays a common situation. It is a painting at night gefällt mir nicht, ich würde schreiben "In the painting it is night". Nothing happens. A young woman, winterly dressed, is alone in a restaurant. She is sitting at an empty table, holding a cup in her right hand. The woman wears a brownish short dress, a yellow hat, which seems like a sun hat, a long green coat with a fur collar and a glove on the left hand. She does not wear a pantyhose, because you can see her legs under the table and they are very pale with shadows. Her face is a bit pale and she has laid on make up. Her lips are saliently (Adjektive wie "red" werden immer durch Adverbien beschrieben) red, her eyes are easy stressed Was meinst du mit "easy stressed"? "easy" bedeutet nur "leicht" im Kontext von Schwierigkeit, nicht von Quantität; für letzteres würde ich "slightly" benutzen, übrigens wieder ein Adverb ) with eye-shadow and her cheeks with im Englischen tendert man dazu, hier nochmal das Verb zu wiederholen a bit powder. She is looking down at the cup. In front of her stands a vancant chair. The canny tabletop acts ("acts" würde ich niemals für einen gegenstand benutzen) coldly like a glassy ice-area. The dark emptiness is spread out (höh?) in the background. There is a window, on whose windowsill one can see a bowl filled with fruits. The only dash of salient coulor in the dark area. In the dark window the light from the restaurant is reflected. There is a yellow radiator in the picture on the left part in the corner. It cannot warm up the denying was meinst du mit "denying?" coldness in this situation. There is also a glass door beside the radiator. It is very dark like the window, too.Das "like the window" kannst du dir sparen
But after all an emotional excitement is developed because of the kind how Hopper Verb? the composition whereby the light and the colours know to stage. Was meinst du mit "the colours know to stage"? For example: In this painting the woman seems as if she were sag mal hast du unsere Korrekturen in dem anderen Thread nicht gelesen? ) absent, sad and very thoughtful.
Again he symbolises imho mindestens sehr missverständlich, klingt so, als ob er das Symbol wäre... the loneliness, the isolation, (im Englischen bei Aufzählungen vor dem "and" ein Komma) and the speechlessness in (the) urban life in his painting. For this symbol the automat - restaurant is the right setting because there it all works automatically. Der letzte Satz gefällt mir überhaupt nicht. Du benennst vorher kein konkretes Symbol, also kannst du auch nicht sagen "this symbol". Außerdem klingt "there it all works automatically" komisch. |

Liane hat Folgendes geschrieben: | hallo,
painting discripton Rechtschreibung!
The painting "Automat" is was painted by Edward Hopper in 1979. The painting portrays a common situation. It is a painting at night. Nothing happens. A young woman, winterly dressed besser: dressed for winter, is alone in a restaurant. She is sitting at an empty table, holing Rechtschreibung! a cup in her right hand. The woman wears a brownish short dress, a yellow hat, which seems like a sun hat, a long green coat with a fur collar and a glove on the left hand Der Satz ist ok - aber am besten teilst du in in mehrere Saetze da es im Englischen nicht so ueblich ist so lange Saetze zu bauen. She does not wear a pantyhose, because you can see her legs under the table and tey Rechtschreibung! are very pale with shadows. Her face is a bit pale and she has laid on make up 1.) Ein Synonym fuer pale waere nicht schlecht da du es sehr kurz hinteinander wiederholst 2.)put on make up. Her lips are salient red, her eyes are easy easy kann nicht die Bedeutung "wenig, gering, etc." annehmen. Das Wort, dass du suchst ist "light". Ausserdem musste du noch das Adverb bilden stressed with eye-shadow and her cheeks with a bit of powder. She is looking down at the cup Du hasst den Becher vorher noch nicht erwaehnt, also solltest du einen indefinite article verwenden. In front of her stands a vancant chair "stand" wird nur fuer animierte (oder als solche beschriebene) Objekte verwendet. The canny tabletop acts cold like a glassy ice-area 1.) There is a window, on whose window - sill window must du nicht wiederholen, es ist klar welcher sill gemeint ist you can see a bowl filled with fruits. The only dash of salient coulorRechtschreibung! in the dark area Du solltest - wie auch immer- klarstellen, dass die Obstschale gemeint ist. In the dark window the light from the restaurant is reflected Die Satzstellung ist sperrig: besser anders herum: "The light from the... is reflected ". There is a yellow radiator in the picture on in the left part in the corner. It can't warm up the denying coldness in this situation can't ist Umgangssprache - in geschriebenen Texten sollte man die nicht kontrahierten Formen verwenden. There is also a glass door beside the radiator. It is very dark like the window, too.
But after all an emotional excitement is developed because of the kind how Hopper the composition whereby the light and the colours know to stage Diesen Satz verstehe ich leider nicht. As example: In this painting the woman seems as if she is absent, sad and very thoughtful.
Again he symbolises the loneliness, the isolation and the speechlessness in the urban life in his painting. For this symbol the automat - restaurant is the right setting because there it all works automatically.

danke für die hilfe,
@ ACH
den becher habe ich vorher erwähnt: "holding a cup in her right hand".
@Goldenhind
mit "easy stressend" meine ich leicht betont.
mit dem satz "the canny tabletop gives the impression of a glassy ice-area". meine ich das die tischoberfläche wie eine eisfläche aussieht.
mit "the dark emptiness is spread out in the background. " meine ich das die dunkelheit sich im hintergrund ausbreitet.
so ich hoffe ich habe nichts vergessen
