Meine Frage:
Hallo,
Meine Ideen:
Dear Sir or Madam,
In June 2012/next year I am going to complete my A-Levels at the Werner-von Siemens-Gymnasium Berlin. I am writing with reference to work voluntarily in a Chinese school for 6 months.
Due to my passion for foreign languages I chose English as a Proficiency Course in school. Talking about problems in developing and emergent countries in these lessons caught my interest. These countries are the future of the world and in my opinion Western countries should be more engaged in them.
With my schooldays being shortened to 11 years by the G8 school reform and a skipped grade, I want to spend time on helping in a developing or emergent country by supporting the children's education, as I think everything starts with your education and the way you are brought up.
I hope to obtain more inter-cultural competence and an improvement of my Chinese language skills. Furthermore this experience will help me to find out about my personal career goal.
Studying Chinese for 5 years now, I have not only learned the language, but also about Chinese culture, traditions and history. During my stay in China with the student exchange programme I gained a first impression of Chinese daily life and enjoyed the opportunity to use my language skills in real life.
I discovered my wish for intercourse with people at my future workplace by working voluntarily in a real estate agency. In my voluntary work experience in a British Junior School as well as in my informal jobs as a babysitter and private coach for younger students I proved my ability to work with children.
I can easily accommodate to new surroundings as I am a very tolerant, flexible and patient person. Living in a host family has always been a pleasure to me, as I gained a direct inside in daily life of your host country and my reliable and open-minded personality has always simplified establishing new relationships.
I am eager to support other activities beyond the normal lessons. Moreover I would like to organize art projects for the students because I love painting and drawing in my free time.
After my voluntary work experience I would like to get involved with Experiment e.V. and support others who want to try their own experiment in international living, because in our globalized world of today inter-cultural understanding is a kea qualification.
Thank you very much for considering my request. I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours sincerely |
