Hallo ihr Lieben,
ich habe hier mein letter of motivation für eine Auslandsfamulatur geschrieben, hab sowas aber noch nie gemacht, könnt ihr mich über meine linguistischen/ stilistischen Fehler aufklären.Irgendwie fehlt mir auch noch was für das Ende. Vielen Dank für eure Hilfe!

Dear Madam /Sir
I hereby wish to state my interest for a medical clerkship in the clinic of general surgery for a distance of four weeks in July 2010.
To my mind surgery is the main discipline in which you are qualified to work therapeutically, additional to the close relationship you need to your patients. This actuality fit to my personal conception to a doctor.
Currently I’m studying medicin in the sixth semester at the Rheinisch-Westfälischen-technischen Hoschule in Aachen. I have choosen this course of studies because of my humanistic view of the world and having the opportunity to work with people on a high level.
After I graduated in 2005 at the St. Antonius Gymnasium in Lüdinghausen, I went to the aid organisation „Arbeiter- Samariter- Bund“ and finished an education as an paramedic. In this period of time I got my first experience in the medical sector. In Mai 2006 I began to study at the medical school of the RWTH Aachen.
In line of my studies there is the possibility of an medical clerkship in a foreign country.
My first choice of the medical clerkship places abroad was Thailand because of its special characteristics like the Thevara-Buddishm as religous denomination, its central lokalisation in south -east Asia and its economic revival since the 1970er.
I went to Bangkok one year ago and get into contact with the foreign culuture and traditions on the one hand and the hospitality of the Thai people on the other hand . I'm keen to develop my knowledge about their way of living and working. Furthermore this exchange programm is an oppurtinity to see behind the curtain of an highly developed medical system in a foreign country. Especially I'm interested in the accomplishments after the Health Care Reform in the year 2001 and the development of the dezentralised first aid- Health Care Centre in the periphery of the country compared with an hospital of maximum medical care, like in Thailand's main cities.
In summary I decided to apply for a medival clerkship abroad, because I see this as a challenge and as a great chance to advance my personality and independence while also improving my knowledge and experience in my studies. |

Was meinst du genau? Chirugie ist die bedeutendste Disziplin (bedeutendste oder bedeutende?), in der man therapeutisch arbeiten kann? Vll. bin ich zu weit vom Fach weg, aber Chirugie = therapeutisch?? This actuality Tatsache? fits to my personal conception to a doctor physician (sind doch nicht gleich alles Doktoren!) .
Currently I am studying medicine in the sixth semester at the Rheinisch-Westfälischen-technischen Hochschule in Aachen (vll. noch ergänzen das du im 2. klinischen semester bist, weil das in anderen ländern ja anders organisiert ist). Sind das deine Gründe, dort eine Famulatur zu machen? Religion, Geografie und Wirtschaft?
One year ago I went to Bangkok one year ago and got in contact with the foreign Thai (ausland ist alles außer Deutschland) culture and traditions on the one hand and the hospitality of the Thai people on the other hand . I am keen eager to develop my knowledge about their way of living and working. Furthermore this exchange programm is an opportunity to see look behind the curtain of a highly developed medical system in a foreign country (das klingt so merkwürdig. nur weils ausland ist muss es doch nicht hochentwickelt sein).
Especially I am interested in the accomplishments after the Health Care Reform in the year 2001 and the development of the decentralised first aid- Health Care Centre in the periphery of the country compared with a hospital of maximum medical care, like in Thailand's main cities (wirst du dir denn beide Örtlichkeiten ansehen?).
In summary I decided to apply for a medical clerkship abroad, because I see this as a challenge and as a great chance to advance my personality and independence while also improving my knowledge and experience in my studies. |
