Huhu!
Also ich muss bis Weihnachten meine Berwerbungsunterlagen für die Internationale FH in Bad Honnef bei Bonn abgegeben. Dazu gehört auch ein Letter of Motivation. Bitte Leute, helft mir!
Naja, lest erst mal...
From 2002 until 2006 I attended a grammar school in Staßfurt.
During these four years I gained my general education and I also learned speaking French.
But after the tenth grade I wanted to specialize in economy and due to this I started my education at a higher secondary vocational education school in the field of economy in Bitterfeld.
At this school not only maths, German and social studies are in the fore, but also the subjects business administration / economics, accounting and maths specialized in economy.
Even then I was enthusiastic about the area Eventmanagement.
For family-celebrations and other parties I wrote invitations, developed the order of events, chose a location and calculated the expenditure so I could collect money from the guests or from sponsors.
The two-years education in Bitterfeld gave me the possibility to make a one-year practical training three days a week.
I completed it by the Messe- und Veranstaltungsgesellschaft Magdeburg Ltd.
This company is the biggest offerer for events like fairs and concerts in Magdeburg. The Elbauenpark also belongs to the MVGM Ltd.
I worked there first in the area technology fair/Elbauenpark and then in the areas Marketing, Management and Controlling. During this time I worked independently and gain wide experience in cooperation with colleagues and the public.
Furthermore I had two other practical trainings.
During two weeks at an advertising agency I got an impression of working in this line of business. I could see how adverts were made and how to handle with clients all right, but I realized that that is not what I exactly want to do in the future.
Spending my holiday-time in a nursery school I learned organizing events for kids – e.g. our summer-party with lots of different areas like a knight-castle, a little workshop with toolboxes and stuff like that, a kids-spa with make-up and paddling pool and a magician.
I besides took the opportunity to become a member in the English speaking club Toastmasters International. It’s the world leader in helping people become more competent and comfortable in front of an audience. There I can not only improve my English, but also practice and hone communication and leadership skills.
In my opinion the line Eventmanagement will go on growing incredibly in the next years. Specialized knowledge, leadership qualities, business education and international orientation – these are demands for a management position.
And I want to broaden my knowledge about all these things.
So this confirmed my decision to study International Eventmanagement.
As it is my future goal to work as a successful Eventmanagerin in America I want to achieve a deeper theoretical understanding and practical skills in this area – and this already since I was thirteen.
In the last month I visited a lot of fairs for education and on the “Perspektiven 2007”-fair in Magdeburg I heard for the first time of the International University of Applied Sciences in Bad Honnef. I immediately decided to take a closer look at the “Open Campus Day” on December the seventh.
At the latest since I talked to several students I am convinced that the Bachelor of Arts in Eventmanagement corresponds well with my future plans and with my already acquired qualifications.
After I went through the course structure and read carefully the overview and the objectives of every single course, I was sure that this programme perfectly matches with my interest.
Courses concerning the introduction in event industry, in tourism, market research, the project works and the second foreign language are of special interest to me.
I was very pleased to find out that the programme includes a practical training abroad and possible a furthermore semester at another school abroad because I believe that any academic training should be completed by practical work experience. |
