Marilyn Monroe was an american actress, singer and model. She was the cult figur of the fifties and one of the most famous actress.

Her origin and family

Marilyn’s real name is Norma Jean Baker. She was born in 1926 in Los Angeles. She had a sad childhood. Nobody knows who is her father. Her mother Gladys was crazy. So she must went in a sanatorium. Marilyn grown up in 11 different foster-families. This was very hard for her. She visited different school and left school when she was 15 years old. Then she married James Doughtery.

Marilyn’s men

Marilyn had many affairs. For example with John F. Kennedy, his brother and Frank Sinatra. There are rumours that she had a affair with Elvis Presley.

She was married three times. At first with James Doughtery. When they were together Marilyn started her model career. After 4 years they divorced.

Her second husband was Joe DiMaggio. He was a Baseballstar and wished a household wife but Marilyn’s career was on top so they left him after only 9 month.

In 1956 Marilyn married Arthur Miller. She could imagine to have a family with him but she lost 2 babys. They seperated after 5 years.

Her personality

She was a woman with many faces. On the one hand she was the sexsymbol at all, but on the other hand she personify the nice, innocent girl next door. She was trying and chaotic but she was tender and touchy, too. Her biggest quality was her sense of humor. She loved the life but in this love was a deep sadness. This sadness had a lot of reasons. For example her sad childhood or her disappointment because nobody took her seriously as an actress, She wanted to be a serious actress but everybody said that she’s only the blond sexbomb with the red lips.
Because of this reasons she took drugs and drank alcohol. She was depented on it.
Her career

She was the most popularst women in Hollywood. She started her career as a pin-up girl and winner of beauty contests. But mainly she was an actress. She played over 30 movies. For example ,,some like it hot’’ ,,how to marry a millionaire’’ or ,,the seven year itch’’.
In the most movies she played the naiv, blond sexbomb.

But she wasn’t only an actress. She was a singer, too. She was successfull with songs like ,,Diamonds are a girl’s best friend’’. To the 45. Birthday of John F. Kennedy she sang her famous ,,Happy Birthday Mister President’’. In 1954 when was the war in Korea she sang for american soldier.

She got many awards like the golden globe for best artist. She got a star of the walk of fame in Los Angeles and you can see her in Madame Tussaud’s.

Her death

Marilyn died at the age of 36 because of a overdose of drugs. Her housekeeper found her in her bedroom. Up to now nobody knows why she died. Somebody says she killed herself. Others says the Kennedy Clan killed her because they are afraid of bad publicity.
She was bury in the Westwood Memorial Park Cemetery in Los Angeles.
Today Marilyn could be 80 years old.
