Good morning Ladies. Today I want to tell you something about Barack Obama, the new US president-elect. My report consists of 5 parts. First of all, I’m going to tell you something about his childhood and youth, then I will say something about his Profession, after that about his family, then I will go on with his political career and at the end you will get information about his political aims.

Let us start with his childhood and youth.
Barack Obama was raised by his single mother and his grandparents. They didn’t have a lot of money, but they educated him very well. Obama finished his school and went to university. After university he worked for Christian Churches as an assistant for community in Chicago. <<Bild zeigen>>

Now I come to the second part of my presentation, his profession
Obama has studied political science two year-long. After that he worked one year for the company Internationally Corporation in New York. Later he worked for Christian Churches in Chicago. And then he has studied other three years jurisprudence. In 1993 he worked as a lawyer in Chicago.

And now I would like to talk about his family
Barack Obama have been married with Michelle since 1992. They have two daughters. Their names are Sasha and Malia. Barack Hussein Obama Senior is the father of Barack Obama (Bild) and the mother is Stannley Ann Dunham. They separated, when Barack Obama was three years old. <<Bilder zeigen>>

Now some information about his political career
In the senate of Illinois it was very important for Barack Obama to work with all together well. That means to work with democrats as well as with republicans, because he wanted to help families. Therefore he wanted to create a state, where the families don’t have to pay any tax.
On the 4th of November 2008, Barack Obama beat John McCain and so he became the first colored American president-elect. In his victory speech, before much audience, Obama said “change has come to America.” On the 20th of January 2009, he will start as the 44th US president.

Now we are at the last point, his political aims for the future.
Right from the start, Obama was against of the Iraq-war, because he thought it is very senseless. He also said in public that was a very silly decision. Now he would like to take the US-Troops back from the Iraq. Obama is also of the opinion that the production of nucleir weapons by Iran should be prevented. Barack wants the closing of the Guantanamo, because he is completely against tortue. He wants to take the US-Troops back from Iraq to continue with the anti-terror war in Afghanistan. Obama also wants the abolition of the death penalty. He believes many death sentence are caused by racist prejudices and bad trial lawyer. Barack Obama also wants to create a new reform. This reform is about that every us citizen gets health insurance.
