Hey... I am not really an expert or so, but we did Drama in class (unfortunately classical drama ) and I guess I know a few things about the similarities and differences between modern and classical drama:
-in general both start right away with a conversation between two characters
-classical drama is usually divided into scenes
-in classical drama the action starts right away
-in modern drama the spectators are usually informed about intonation, tone, etc.
-while in classical drama you find numerous and long stage directions, modern drama is kept short and leaves space for the actors' inspiration and ideas
Well..., those are some thing I could remember. Hope I could help you at least a bit...!! |
