Meine Ideen:
Stuart Little
Stuart Little, directed by Rob Minkoff takes place in modern day America, New York. The main characters are Stuart Little spoken by Michael Fox, Greena Davis as Mrs Little, Hugh Laurie as Mr Little and Jonathan Lipnicki as George. The film got a Young Artist Award and a Young Star Award. For special effects from Jerome Chens Team the film was nominated for the Oscar. For a long time Mr and Mrs Little have wished a little brother for their son George. A visit in an orphanage brings the desired success. It is Stuart: He is tiny little, white ? and a mouse. George is not very fascinating about his new brother and so it costs a long time till Stuart and George get friends. Snowbell, the cat from the family really loves to eat mice and so there is another problem for Stuart. Snowbell kidnapped with help from his cat - friends Stuart. For him starts a very hard time. Stuart Little is a movie for the whole family. The film is not only engrossing but also exhilarating. It looks like a film for children but it is more than a children film. The movie is exciting, vivid and very extraordinary. The special effects are fascinating.
It is a film for everyone. Thumbs up!

The Green Mile
The Green Mile, written and directed by Frank Darabont takes place in the USA, America. Frank Darabont turned this film after his own screenplay. The main characters are Tom Hanks as Paul Edgecomb and Michael Duncan as John Coffey. The drama film was nominated for the Academy ? Award. Michael Duncan got a price for the best supporting actor. The movie had got a price for the best film, the best music and the best adapted screenplay.
Paul Edgecomb lives in an old people?s home. He tells Elaine about his life 60 years ago in the death cell. Paul and his colleagues work in the death cell called ?The Green Mile?. Someday John Coffey, a man who killed two little girls, was taken into the death cell. Paul is very interesting in the life from John and so they get friends. When the wife from the prison director suddenly gets cancer, Paul and his colleagues must take a resolution. The Green Mile is a very emotional film. Carried by sadness, passion and tension the movie is a great example for the life in the 20th century in America. The whole story is breath taking, enchanting and riveting till to the end. It is first-rate. This film is a masterpiece. Thumbs up!

Das Leben ist schön
?Das Leben ist schön?, written and directed by Roberto Bengini takes place in Italy at the time of the Second World War. The main characters are Roberto Bengini as Guido and Nicoletta Braschi as Dora. The Italian drama got an Award for the best Italian film. The movie also got an Academy Award for the best international film. In France, Spain, Britain and Germany it got an award for the best European film. Guido is a Jewish, who lives in Italy. He tries to win the heart of the princess Dora. With a lot of humours and mishap they fall in love and get a son together. But then the nationalism begins. The Jewish people have to go into a concentration camp. Normally Dora does not have to go with her son and Guido, but she does not want to live her life without them.
?Das Leben ist schön? is a very emotional film. The movie tries to show us the life a long time ago in a strange way. The director has combined humour with the seriousness of the life. The film is not only vivid but also enchanting, gripping and breathtaking. Although I think that the combination from humour and seriousness is not very good.
