Hey @ all,
1. Actually Columbus feet never (touch) the continent
2. Columbus (sail) across the Atlantic and (land) on the island...
3. He (not be) the first person to visit the island because people (already live) there when he (arrive)
4. In fact, they (live) there for much years
5. He (not be) even the first visitor because the vikings (already sail) to north america years before
6. And it is possible that Africans (make) the journey long years before
7. He (make) four trips across the atlantic.
8. One of the main reasons he travelled there was that he (look) for gold.
9. When he (find) it on Haiti, he (force) the people there to mine the gold
10. his treatment of them (be) cruel
11. Before Columbus, there (be) several million native people on haiti
12. By 1520 the number (fall) to a few thousands
Danke nochmal im voraus!! |

ist zwar nicht mein Tread, aber übung schadet ja nicht:
1. Actually Columbus feet never HAD TOUCHED (or had never touched; ? ) the continent
2. Columbus SAILED (oder had sailed, weil es vor der Landung abgeschlossen war?) across the Atlantic and LANDED on the island...
3. He WASN'T the first person to visit the island because people HAD BEEN ALREADY there when he ARRIVED.
4. In fact, they HAD BEEN LIVING there for much (äHM..IST DAS NICHT "MANY"years
5. He WASN'T even the first visitor because the vikings HAD already SAILED to north america years before
6. And it is possible that Africans HAD MADE the journey long years before
7. He MADE four trips across the atlantic.
8. One of the main reasons he travelled there was that he WAS LOOKING for gold.
9. When he HAD FOUND it on Haiti, he FORCED the people there to mine the gold
10. his treatment of them WAS cruel
11. Before Columbus, there HAD BEEN several million native people on haiti
12. By 1520 the number HAD FALLEN to a few thousan |

Wenn überhaupt "had never touched", aber ich sehe nicht, warum man hier nicht einfach simple past statt past perfect benutzen sollte...
3. He WASN'T the first person to visit the island because people HAD BEEN ALREADY there when he ARRIVED.
