"for me the difference really arose when it came to choosing schools," says olivia, who comes from a working-class background, but whose partner, george, went to a public school and wanted his sons to do the same. "there was no way I was sending my sons to boarding school when they were only eight, even if we could afford it and it would give them a fantasic education." olivia says the pressures on her were enormous. " I could see his parents thinking: `she does not understand. she will drag them down to her level.´ It came between us the point where we had to have counselling."
fragen: "there was no way I was sending my sons to boarding school when they were only eight, even if we could afford it and it would give them a fantasic education."
