vielleicht hat ja jemand zeit und lust meine introduction vom report mal gegenzulesen und zu korrigieren. wäre echt super! gerne auch formulierungstipps. :-)

Chapter 1: Introduction

The first chapter of the report deals with relevant information about the idea of founding the Bahia Food and Drinks Bar and discusses the most important aspects concerning the planning process, organisation and implementation of the project.

After their graduation in business at Glasgow University in Scotland, six fellow students had the idea to start up an own business. During the course of studies they worked together successfully on many projects and decided to organise an own enterprise.
After discussing several ideas, they came to the conclusion to establish a bar which serves organic food, the Bahia Food and Drinks Bar.

Organic food is a growing business in the UK, it even transferred into mainstream. The sales numbers are increasing and this led to a higher bargain in Britain. More of the food is being grown in the country and the number of consumer rises as well. Many people feel that food grown without conventional pesticides and artificial fertilizers makes a difference to their own health and benefits the environment. To be certified organic, the products must be grown and manufactured in a manner that adheres to standards set by the country they are sold in. In the UK this is controlled by Organic Farmers and Growers Organic Standards and the Soil Association.
Unfortunately the number of people consuming fish and chips is as high as the number of people who esteem the ecological cultivation of food. Published figures suggest that the amount of people who buy organic food is relatively small; it is mainly a core number of shoppers who invests into groceries without pesticides.
For that reason the entrepreneurs of the Bahia Food and Drinks Bar aim to extend the idea of organic food.

The Bahia team consists of six members: Stuart, Georgina, Niall, Jamilla, Claire and Jake.
Stuart’s parents own a pub themselves, consequently he knows the business best and as a natural leader, he will take over the part of the General Manager. Georgina has her strengths in accounting and no experience in catering, so the Finance Manager would be a fitting position for her. Niall, with his good marketing sense, is going to be responsible for fulfilling the marketing tasks. Jamilla, who is most interested in the organisation of the corporate citizenship, will take over the leadership of the project, while Claire can do the cooking or engages personal for the kitchen. Jake as experienced bar-keeper can develop cocktail recipes and can hire personal working at the bar.

In the following, the report addresses the issues of Bahia’s present situation and main business issues concerning location, legal form, financing and the corporate citizenship project (Chapter 2). Chapter 3 expatiates the different solutions and offers alternatives, while Chapter 4 responds to the decision-making process regarding the best business venue and the corporate citizenship project (Chapter 5). In addition to that a realistic implementation plan is presented in this chapter. The final chapter provides conclusions and recommendations for the entrepreneurs and their business project.
