R=Reporter
U=unicef

R: Hello. I am Lisa Marmann. Welcome to this morning's Forum here on Einslive Radio-Germany. Micheal Unicef, the "Gründer" from Unicef is today here. Unicef helps a lot of people who need other's help!
U: Good Morning, Mr. Unicef.
R: Thank you for being with us. Well, I have good some questions to you.
U: Ask, please!
R: Where do your organization helps?
U: Well , we help all over the worl. From Russia to Asia!
R: Ah, and who do you help?
U: For example in Russia, we gave street-kids there a second chance.
R: How expensive is the project in Russia.
U: Mhh, I can't say that rightly but I can say, tha tit costs 50 euro to care for a drug-dependent road child one day long in a center.
R: That isn't very expensive!
U:According to official collections there are today about 100,000 to 150,000 road children in Russia. However in Moscow spend according to international Labour Organization 30,000 to 50,000 children a majority of their everyday life on the road. In Petersburg it should be approximately 15,000 road children under 13 years. Many road children come from families with only one parents or with stepparents. Parents of each tenth road child in Moscow are unemployed, national assistance for poor families hardly give it. Most children on the road work, in order to earn itself a pocket money, in order to buy meals or support their parents. Each fourth works for bare surviving. For learning usually no time remains: Over 30 per cent of the working road children do not go any longer or only sporadically to the school. Driven for road children: The weaker the connection to the parents' house, the more largely is the danger for the children increases prostitution, drugs, AIDS picture to make itself punishable on the road. In pc. Petersburg forbidden activities exercise up to 30 per cent of the road children: They sell stolen goods, beg or act with drugs. About 20 per cent of the road children, predominantly girls, prostituieren themselves. Many of them are only twelve years old. The pc. Petersburger public health authorities estimates the number of the drug-addicted young people on over 50.000. Moscow announces officially over 6.000 drug-dependent under 18 years, experts proceeds however from ten times more. By drug consumption and prostitution many road children infect themselves with the immunodeficiency illness AIDS which do Unicef? 1. Protection and assistance for road children UNICEF supports drop in centers and accommodations so mentioned in Moscow and pc. Petersburg. Here children find a temporary lodging as well as medical assistance, meal and clothes of the road. Social workers support it to visit again the school. If possible, they are united again with their families. 150 children, who cannot return home, live together in two further centers in Moscow in small, cared for housing units. UNICEF supports in Moscow besides the training of social workers, in order to interest children on the road in the aid programmes.
R: Oh, that's really hard .And who does we can help??
U: first
you can spend but as a Project godfather support for example you the children in south Asia on a long-term basis. Altogether 1.5 million children are affected by the devastating tide disaster. They lost it at home, suffer from diseases.
R:We have talked with Michael Unicef. Thank you for being with us!
U: Goodbye!

Also keine neuen, du hast ja sehr viel geschrieben. OK? Augenzwinkern

Du kannst folgende Fragen dazu stellen:

Do the children regularly go to school?
How does UNICEF support these children?

Das musst du noch zu den passenden Stellen einbauen. Augenzwinkern

BeitragVerfasst am: 23. Jan 2005 10:48    Titel: Mein Korrekturvorschlag Antworten mit Zitat

Hi Lisa,

hier nun mein Korrekturvorschlag.

R: Hello. My name is Lisa Marmann. Welcome to this morning forum here on Einslive Radio in Germany.
Our special guest today is Michael Unicef, the founder of the UNICEF. This organization
helps a lot of people in hardship. Good morning, Mr Unicef, nice to have you here with us.
Well, I have listed up some questions for you.

U : Good morning Mrs Marmann. Please, ask.

R: Where does your organization help?

U: We help from Russia to Asia, all over the world where help is needed.

R: Ah, and whom do you help for example?

U: We help street children in Russia, that's one of our projects.

R: How expensive is this project?

U: Mhh…, I cannot tell you the exact amount. But it costs 50 Euro to care for one drug dependent street
child one day long in a …..center (Was für ein Center?)

R: That isn’t very expensive!

U: According to our latest statistics there are about 100,000 to 150,000 street children in Russia today.
The International Labour Organization reports that 30,000 to 50,000 Moscow children spent the most of their
day on the road.
In Petersburg approximately 15,000 road children are under 13. Many of them come from single-parent families
or stepparents. The unemployment rate is high. Parents of every tenth street child is without work and national
assistance for poor families is scarce.
That is why most of these children “work” on the street to earn a little pocket money in order to buy some
food or support their parents. Every fourth works for its bare surviving.

R: Do the children regularly go to school?

U: For learning usually no time remains. Over 3o% of the working street children do not go to school any longer
or only sporadically.

R: What dangers does this fact bear?

U: The weaker the connection to the parents’ house the larger is the danger of increasing prostitution, AIDS, drugs
and crime on the street. In Petersburg twelve-year-old girls are prostitutes that’s 20% of the children. The Petersburg
health authorities estimate the number of drug-addicted young people on over 50,000. Offically Moscow announces
over 60,000 drug dependent children under 18. Experts proceed ten times more, however.

R: How can UNICEF help them?

U: UNICEF supports street children with drop-in-centers and accommodations in Moscow and Petersburg to protect and help them. There, children find a temporary lodging as well as medical assistance, meals and clothes off the street.
They are also supported by social workers and go to school.
If possible they are reunited again with their families. 150 children who cannot return home live in two further centers in
cared housing units in Moscow. UNICEF pays for the training of social workers who care for the street children.

R: Oh, that is really hard. And how can we help?

U: You either can make a donation or you can be a godfather for a child and you pay a defined sum of money every
month on a long-term basis.

R: We have talked to Michael Unicef. Thank you very much for being with us. I wish you all the best for the future.

U: Goodbye, Lisa. It was nice to meet you.

R: Goodbye, Michael.

Selbstverständlich kannst du immer noch daran Veränderungen machen Augenzwinkern , drei Fragen habe ich noch miteingebaut. Big Laugh
