Whoopi Goldberg

Whoopi Goldberg was born on the 13th of November 1955 as Caryn Elaine Johnson in New York. She began acting with 8 years with the Hudson Guild Theatre and later she played in some acts with the Helena Rubinstein Children’s Theatre.
It has been the figure of the uhara from star trek enterprise, which brought her to become also actress. During the late 1960s she droped out of the school of performing arts to become a hippie and later she was addicted to heroin. After leaving school she performed in the chorus of various musicals.
Whoopi made an extraction cure and fell in love to her person in charge. They got married and became a daughter. But the luck was not from duration.In 1974 Whoopi packed her suit-case and took her child and moved to San Diego. During that time she worked as a bank employee, a bricklayers and a corpse woman. Being afraid, that the people might forget her, she played a crazy clairvoyant in the film “Ghost”. In1990 she got the Oscar for the best minor part for her acting. Indeed, she became more famous with the film “Sister Act” in 1992. There she played a club-singer, who has hide herself in a convent, where she sang with the nuns in a chorus. A lot of people know her from the TV series “star trek: The Next generation”. She also had a talk show, called the Whoopi-Goldberg-Show.
In1994 Whoopi has been the first woman (in fact first coloured woman) as hostess for the Oscar award.
In 1992 she got also famous as author by the book “Alice In Wonderworld” and while graduating at the university in literary. Now the kids are her greatest fans.
Years later she gave her voice some cartoon characters like” Pinocchio 3000 “and” Racing Stripes”.
Whoopi was for the second time divorced and in 1986 she remarried the cameraman David Caless. But two years later they got divorced.
Till 2002 you can see Whoopi at 149 films. Altogether she was nominated at many times for the Oscar, the Daytime-Emmy, the Golden Globe etc., but all in all she won 1 Oscar, 1 Daytime-Emmy, 2 Golden Globes and 3 Viewer-Awards and many more prizes.
