The idea of this bridge and tunnel goes back to the 19th century , but the technology that made it possible was only developed at the end of the 20th century .
The Oresund tunnel is 4 km long and includes a road , a railway and a service tunnel.
The Oresund bridge is more than 7800 m long and has 2 levels ? one for trains and one for cars. It reduces the journey time between Copenhagen and Malmo by more than one hour.
All big projects are built by international teams . Without English , they would probably have built a bridge and a tunnel that did not meet. willst du sagen, dass die Brücke und der Tunnel nicht zusammen gepasst hätten?
The opinions about such big projects are divided .
