Meine Frage:

Hello
Today I want to tell you something about English and also British food.
First of all I want to tell you something generally about British food,
then I give you some examples, what you eat there
and at last I tell you some interesting facts about British food.

Now I start with the generals.

In Britain you eat Breakfast between 7:00 and 9:00am,
Lunch between 12:00 and 1:30 pm and
Dinner, the main meal, between 6:30 and 8:00 pm.
At a normal breakfast you eat a bowl of cereals or a slice of toast
and you drink an orange juice or a cup of coffee.
Most people have at Lunch a packed lunch, which consists of a sandwich,
a packet of crisps, a piece of fruit and a drink.
A typical Dinner consists of about one meat and two vegetables.

Now I continue with some examples what you eat in Britain.

First there is one of the most eaten meals: Fish ´n chips
(Bild zeigen)
As the name says, it consists of fish and chips.
It´s England´s traditional take-away food.
Normally you don´t cook fish ´n chips by you self,
but you can buy it in a fish n´ chip shop.

Roast Beef is a section of the hindquarter of beef and is served with two vegetables and potatoes.
Roast Beef is the typical Sunday Lunch.

You take some flour, eggs and milk and you get Yorkshire Pudding (Bild zeigen)
Traditionally you eat Yorkshire Pudding as starter.
Then it is filled with gravy and vegetables.
But if there are some unused Puddings,
they will served as dessert filled with jam or ice-cream.

Many people eat cheese, too.
The favorite cheese is Cheddar, followed by Stilton and Red Leicester.

This is only a small selection of food that you eat in England.
There are tons of other food you eat there, too.

Now at last I tell you some interesting facts about British food.

The Romans introduces cheese to England and many cheeses are named after an English place.
For Example: Stilton or Red Leicester
A very popular spice at the moment is curry.
The sandwich was invented in England.

I hope you enjoyed my presentation.
?
Are there any questions?

Vielen Dank für eure Mühe :D
