'an' is used when the first letter of the next word is pronounced like a vowel. e.g.: an apple an MTV production (here 'an' is used because the 'M' is pronounced 'EM') an hour later (silent 'h', 'hour' pronounced like 'our' therefore 'an')

The sentence could be: M and E are evolving a harmonious relationship. I don´t know whether you´ve heard of leo.org, but it is an English/Deutsch dictionary and quite good. Viel glück weiterhin.

Wenn du's noch genauer auf den Moment beziehen willst kannst du ja auch das present progressive benutzen als Ausdruck für etwas das gerade geschieht.
