If it is to come true , those who are below in the scale have got to strive to rise not merely economically but culturally. we cannot become a great democracy by giving ourselves up as individuals to selfishness,physical comfort and cheap amusements.

Now we come to the criticism of the American nightmare. Nicht American Dream? sonst musst du den Satz umstellen denn er bedeuted: "Nun kommen wir zur Kritik des amerikanischen Albtraums"
Critics say the American Dream is more a nightmare than a dream.
The higher social levels often exlude the poor social levels because in their opinion these group of people are inferior to them. oder "below them" - das müsste gehen.
In America, only rich get a good education because a college is very expensive in America. the rich (people) = die Reichen
As a result only rich get a good education and so it's impossible to rise “From a rag to a rich”. Das rise gefällt mir nicht... aber es ist in Ordnung.
Racism against blacks is also a problem in many places of America. Der Rassismus? Unbestimmt lassen! Und dann: "even" - was "even"? Es fehlt das Bezugswort. Ich schlage deshalb das oben als Lösung vor So the withes make life and becoming rich dificult for the blacks. Du solltest dich unbedingt mit dem Thema Artikel auseinandersetzen: Wann benutzt man den bestimmten, wann keinen Artikel?
But in spite of this, many people are assured of the American Dream. to be assured of something
dann hätt ich wohl alles zu american dream, oder?
