Würde ich auch sagen, dazu sollte dann aber auch noch das Komma vor "who" weggelassen werden. |

Das Komma nach (beiden!) means ist inkorrekt und stoert den Lesefluss. "nicht mehr und nicht weniger" - "you are tolerated - no more, no less"
Es fehlt wohl "this", es heisst "Despite this there are...". "Holding sth. ridiculous" does not exist ! Ich koennte mir allerhoechstens etwas in der Art von "hold sth to be ridiculous" vorstellen, aber am besten waerest du wohl mit "...think it is ridiculous" bedient. "...their resentment in..." - willst du sagen, dass sie ihre Abneigung durch etwas ausdruecken ? Dann muss es "....resentment by" heissen. Insgesamt aber fande ich den Comment gut gelungen, so long ACH |

| Guten Abend alle zusammen. Habe als Hausaufgabe eine Frage aufbekommen was man unter Devil's Pact versteht und dazu sollten wir dann einen auf einen Text bezogenen Comment schreiben. Habe das mal gemacht, bin mir aber bei meinen Formulierungen reichlich unsicher. Könnte da jemand mal bitte einen Blick drauf werfen und ggf. verbessern? The devil pact means, that you sign a contract with the devil when you make the desicion to live in Great Britain. This means, that misfortune, poverty and discrimination will happen to you. Nobody wants you to stay. to be more precise, you are tolerated and nothing else more (geht das? wollte sagen: und nicht mehr und nicht weniger) . The verbal insults , his impolite behaviour and his prejudices are expression and result (Ausdruck und Folge) of the devil's pact , he had made when he came to Britain. He knows that he has no chances in this kind of society, in which he is not allowed to give his opinion and to realise his dreams (sich selbst zu verwirklichen wollte ich damit ausdrücken, geht das so?) Immigrants coming to Germany have more chances to become integrated into the society, since there are many programs to give immigrants more chances to become a part of the society. Despite there are many immigrants, who hold it ridiculous to take part in such programs. That's why they express their resentment in , for instance, suppressing their fellows.
