Titel: Englisch - SA ; Bitte um Korrektur meines 2. Textes :)
Soo, das ist mal ein wunderbar auf meinem Mist gewachsener Englischer Text. Wär nett wenn jemand bis Donnerstag die Zeit fände ihn sich einmal durchzuschauen. Danke schonmal im Voraus!
<Charles Dickens>
Charles Dickens was one of the most famous writer in the 19th century. He was born in Portsmouth in 1812 and lived mostly in London. With 12 years he already had to work in a factory because his parents had to go to prison and that again because they had no money. In 1831 Dickens started to work as a newspaper reporter. His first novel appeared 1836. It was “Sketches by Boz” and after that “The Pickwick Papers” came out. Dickens novels were published in parts every week or month. Let us now turn to his occupational functions: He was magazine editor, amateur actor and writer of plays, articles and letters. Another interesting point might be, that he liked travelling and so on lived in Italy from 1844 until 1845, then one year in Switzerland and at last in Paris for one year again. In 1842 he toured through North America. Dickens died in 1870 and left a family of ten children. His books bestsellers are still popular and, a last point, they attacked the materialism of Victorian society.
