Titel: Erörterung : Bitte um Korrektur
Hi!
Habe als Hausaufgabe eine Erörterung auf, wäre nett wenn jemand die auf Stil und Richtigkeit kontrollieren würde.
In 1824, the British began with the conquest of Burma. At the beginning they asserted themselves against the rebels but during the 1920s they couldn't stand them any longer because the Burmese offered succesfully resistance.
Since the , life wasn't only hard for the Burmese but it became also hard for the colonizers.
In the following, I would like to discuss the question, whether imperialism was bad for the British, but not for the Burmese.
The Burmese had always an anti-european attitude so that there existed always a hatred against the colonizers. That is why , the British were exposed to an ernomous pressure by the natives, resulting in a loss of individual freedom and consciousness. Although the colonizers were sometimes reluctant to fulfill their duty, they were expected to conform to the image of the strong colonial ruler. Since they didn't have a chance to resist, the loss of solidarity was on the agenda, what meant, that the British took it out on the natives. Though the colonizers bulit bulit up the economy of Burma, the natives were always oppressed and treated unfair.
The common desperation resulted consequently in mutual hatred, contempt and suppression.
Thus, the allegation that imperialism was bad for the British, but not for the Burmese is incorrect. Rather imperialism was bad both for the British and for the Burmese.
Vielen vielen dank an alle die sich die riesen Mühe machen!
