Titel: Re: referat:new york sights
abc hat Folgendes geschrieben:
In general about New York sights:
Das ist einfach kein Satz, auch kein halber. Ich würde etwa "Some general facts about New York" o.ä. schreiben.
abc hat Folgendes geschrieben:
places of interest [...] places of interest
"sights" wäre ein gleichbedeutendes Wort, um Abwechslung zu schaffen.
abc hat Folgendes geschrieben:
To the tourist attractions count Greenwich Village, Ground Zero which stood place in the World Trade centre, and other.
). "The variety of tourist attractions includes Greenwich Village, Ground Zero (the former place of the World Trade Center) and many others." wäre eine Möglichkeit.
abc hat Folgendes geschrieben:
The famous hotels are the "Regent ", the "Peninsula", "The Plaza" and the " Four Seasons.
Ohne "the" vorne -- du hast vorher nichts von Hotels erwähnt.
abc hat Folgendes geschrieben:
To the known scientific, historical and technical museums in New York belong the " American Craft Museum ", " Brooklyn Museum ", the " Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum ".
"American Museum of Natural History".
The first theatre that moved to the Times Square was the Empire Theatre.
"to Times Square" (wieder ohne "the").
abc hat Folgendes geschrieben:
New York is with about 5,500 buildings a city of the high rises and skyscrapers.
The highest buildings of the city were the twin's storms of the World Trade centres.
"Die Stürme der Zwillinge"? Die hießen "Twin Towers", und das WTC ist nur eines, nicht mehrere.
abc hat Folgendes geschrieben:
But now is the empire State Building is the highest building of the city with 381 metres.
Der Satz ist kaputt. "Having a height of 381 meters the Empire State Building is the highest in New York now again." vielleicht, gefällt mir aber auch nicht so.
abc hat Folgendes geschrieben:
The statue has a height of 46.5 metres without base,
"not counting the base"
abc hat Folgendes geschrieben:
The freedom goddess stand with a foot on a broken chain which symbolise the slavery.
She holds in her left hand a board with the inscription "JULY IV MDCCLXXVI" - 4th July, 1776-, the date of the American independence-day.
Wortstellung: Never separate a verb and its object. Außerdem ist "declaration of independece" besser.
abc hat Folgendes geschrieben:
The statue is decorated with a (siebenstrahligen) crown in which 25 windows are.
Wortstellung, wieder.
abc hat Folgendes geschrieben:
Seven rays symbolise seven seas and continents and 25 windows symbolise 25 precious stones of the world.
"the seven rays", wobei ich mir bei den "rays" nicht sicher bin, ob das das richtige Wort ist.
abc hat Folgendes geschrieben:
The empire State Building, rise 381 metres in the sky.
"rises ... into"
abc hat Folgendes geschrieben:
About 3.5 million visitors looked down every year of his viewplatform.
Erstens wieder die Wortstellung, dann ist es "down from" und drittens verlangt das "every year" ein Simple Present, kein Past.
abc hat Folgendes geschrieben:
Numerous wedding pairs close the alliance for life,on the Empire State Building.
"Numerous couples chose the Empire State Building as the place to tie the knot."
abc hat Folgendes geschrieben:
(Flatiron Building:)
["The Flatiron Building" is with 91-metre height not the highest building of the city, but a tourist attraction. ]
"91 meters of height"
abc hat Folgendes geschrieben:
The Brooklyn Bridge:
" The Brooklyn bridge " was completed in 1883 and was the longest bridge of the world.
"and back then has been the largest bridge in the world"
abc hat Folgendes geschrieben:
To check whether the bridge can carry big weights
"withstand high strains"
abc hat Folgendes geschrieben:
The Central park is 4 kilometre long and also called the "Green lung of New York".
"kilometers" -- im Englischen stehen auch Einheiten im Plural.
abc hat Folgendes geschrieben:
It is the biggest park of the city and one of the biggest ones of the world.
Ohne "ones" und "in the world".
abc hat Folgendes geschrieben:
Numerous Joggers and Inline-skaters use the streets in the park for the sports activitys.
"their sports activities"
