Meine Frage:
Dear Sir or Madame,
my name is Lara D. I am 19 years old and I recently completed my A-
levels
at the grammar school WBG in W.
I would like to
gather
experience in a British hotel or restaurant to gain
insight
of the working style of a

employee in England
while also improving my English
. "to have experience" hieße ja "Erfahrungen haben".
In addition my schooldays
I worked in a print office.
Das geht so leider nicht. Vorschlag: "During the past years, while I was still at school, ..."
I had to sort books, documents and
other stuff
.
Sehr umgangssprachlich. Besser vielleicht einfach nur "etc.", evtl. geht auch noch "and the like", aber auch das ist in meinen Ohren eher etwas umgangssprachlich.
I
have never worked in a hotel or restaurant before
but I served people on private partys and I often managed the activities at the bar.
"had worked" ist Plusquamperfekt - passt hier also nicht. Satzstellung mit dem "before" sehr unglücklich.
Nevertheless
I think I am the right person for this programme.
Let me please elaborate why.
Let me..." heißen.
First and the most important thing is that
I have a confident appearance and
I work very well with other people
.
The most important thing") mischt. Entweder: "First and most importantly, I ..."
I am very engaged, adaptive and I always try to give my best. I am also determined and flexible.
Moreover I stayed in a lot of different hotels around the world, where I had the perfect opportunity to look into the hotel business.
Als Gast? Hmmm...
The programme
would
be a great opportunity for me to collect work experience and get to know new people.
My main goals are learning how to work in different areas in a hotel or restaurant. Especially I want to learn how to serve a dish accurate
ly
, which wine I recommend to which dish and which different dishes are typical for your country.
After the programme I would like to
work
in the tourism branch and study hotel management.
This is also one reason for my wish to participate in your programme
.
Besides working abroad is the consummate chance for me to advance my cross-cultural understanding and to expand my horizon.
It will be a pleasure to understand the branch of tourism.
Verstehst du danach die Tourismusbranche? Ferner finde ich das "will" nicht so gut, ich hätte "would" benutzt.
I am looking forward
to
work in your team.
Your
faithfully
