A Summary of Billy Elliot The excerpt of the novel ,,Billy Elliot? written by Melvin Burgess as well as the film by the same name inform about prejudices against dancing ballet if you are male. Billy Elliot is a young, modern and open-minded boy. In contrast to his father he likes dancing ballet, therefore he takes lessons without telling him. At first the father finds out, that his son is dancing, so consequently he comes to a ballet lesson, sees Billy and screams at him. Afterwards he takes him home. Then secondly they both have a big discussion about the lost (Vorschlag: wasted) money and the prejudice that ballet is something for girls and boys aren?t allowed to do this. As a consequence both get equally angry and stressed and at the end Billy runs away. The fallowing characterization will inform about a boy called Robert Lincoln. Robert Lincoln is a 15 years old cigarettes smoking boy, who always wears a denim jacket (l.47). At first you have to know that the teenager is very quiet and doesn?t speak a lot. That explains why one can say that he is introverted as well as isolated. As a result (of this) he hasn?t many friends (l. 8). A further example for this characteristics is that Robert likes to be alone in the basement without any other persons, including his family (l. 20-23). But among his two friends called Stephan and Jared he is a different person. Then he leans against walls and flirts with girls from his school, that is why I am thinking that he is a wanna-be (l.6-10). On the other side Robert is very shy, when he meets the girl, that he loves and he doesn?t know what she is thinking about him (l.61). Another quality of him is his organization. The teenager plans his whole life and can say what happened to a special time in the past and consequently we could think that he is very intelligent ( e.g. l.36). But sometimes he is a little bit intolerant and egoistic_ because he doesn?t think about the consequences when he does something like running away (l. 26 - 28). All in all one can say that Robert Lincoln is a teenager like all the others, with good an bad characteristics.

male ist ein Vorschlag, es wird dadurch flüssiger, aber "a boy" ist an der Stelle einwandfrei korrekt.
Es ist richtig, saying
to
him zu sagen.
Alles in allem sind da nicht so viele Fehler, wie es auf den ersten Blick aussieht
