Hier mein Korrekturvorschlag mit Änderungen in rot:
Philipp S hat Folgendes geschrieben:
English as the dominant global language
No matter where you are in the world, with English you can communicate almost always without problems. World languages are the six official languages of the UN: Chinese, English, French, Russian, Spanish, and Arabic as well as Hindi/Urdu, Portuguese, and German. English has approximately
1,800 million
speakers. It is also found in all areas of life. So the questions arise whether is English well on its way to become the dominant global language and
whether this is
a good thing
.
These and other questions I
will
try to answer in this essay.
To begin with
,
I would like to explain
the requirements to call
a language
a
world language. A living world language has the following properties
:
firstly a large number of speakers, secondly a substantial fraction of non-native speakers (function as a lingua franca), thirdly an official status in several countries
where
the linguistic community is not defined along ethnic lines (multiethnic, pluricentric language), fourthly a standard register
that
is widely taught as a foreign language, fifthly
it is used
in international trade relations, sixthly
it is used
in international organizations and in the academic community, seventhly
a
significant body of literature and finally association with linguistic prestige.
The English language meets all these criteria.
As a result of the
colonization and the subsequent sole world power, the United States,
English is now present almost everywhere
.
Moreover, English is
the language of computers
and
the internet
and it appears on
clothes and other items.
Furthermore,
you can find English words in the German language,
but also
vice versa.
In contrast to the other world languages (for example French, German, Japanese, Russian, Mandarin and so on),
English grammar and spelling are the easiest.
If everyone in the world would learn English as the second language,
which
should be simple, we could converse easier around the world. That would make everything
a little easier
. The best example is the international language of commerce,
namely English
. With it you can enter into transactions without many
multilingual interpreters
. This saves time and money. It is the same
in international politics
.
But above all
,
half of the world will be more or less proficient in English in 2050 according to experts.
Thus English is spreading
faster than any
other language.
All in all
,
English is and
will remain
the dominant global language. English is easy to learn, and so on. The logical conclusion from all this is that English is the
most appropriate (stilistisch netter als "best")
world language. In my opinion
,
we should all learn English as a second language and accept it as the only universal language. Thus
, people should only learn their
mother tongue and the global language. Traveling, discussing, negotiating,
talking (hier würde ich ein spezielleres Verb als "talking" suchen, denn "discussing" und "negotiating" gehen auch schon in dieselbe Richtung)
, etc. will be much easier and more relaxed.
Ich fand dein Essay übrigens gar nicht schlecht für Englisch als Grundkurs, da hab ich schon ganz andere Sachen gesehen

Titel: Assey geschrieben, alles richtig oder fehlerbehaftet
Hallo,
leider bin ich kein Englischprofie. Wir sollen im Englisch-Grundkurs ein Assey zum Thema: "Engllish is well on its way to become the dominant global language. Is this a good thing?"
Nun habe ich folgenden Aufsatz gescgrieben, könnte mir jemand sagen, was an diesem Text falsch ist? Denn es geht um meine ersten Notenpunkte im Fach!
English as the dominant global language
No matter where you are in the world, with English you can communicate almost always without problems. World languages are the six official languages of the UN : Chinese, English, French, Russian, Spanish, and Arabic as well as Hindi/Urdu, Portuguese, and German. The English language meets all these criteria. Conditional on the colonization and the subsequent sole world power, the United States, is English now almost everywhere represented.
Moreover is English the language of computers an the internet, furthermore you can read it on clothes and other items. Moreover you can find English words in the German language, but it is also vice versa.

Danke schon mal im Voraus.
