Dear ladies and gentlemen, admired colleagues

Now, I will talk about my Eurocom over the topic Florida, a Federal State of the USA:

First some date`s for better understanding:

Surface by Florida: 170 451 km² (that`s 45% of the surface of Germany)
Inhabitants: 17,4 Mio.
Population composition: 65,4 % white people, 16,8% latino´s, 14,6% black
people, 1,7% asians and 0,3% indians
Capital: Tallahassee
Languages: English and Spanish
Flag: red Andreas Cross with a white background and the round official seal in the center
Independence Day: 04.07.
Largest cities:
Unemployment: Florida 4,42% Total in the USA 4,7%

Florida is the most southern State, of the continental part, from the United States of America. The north border of Florida is more south than the south border of California and Miami is closer at the equator than Cairo.

The clima is all a round the year mildly. The summer months are stifling, daily sizzle violent rainfalls down. And the danger exists, that hurricanes develop, in the warm territorial waters around Florida. The heated gulf stream supplies the storms with energy, which sweep across over the southeast of the states, with bad destructions.

The remaining seasons are rather drying and sunny. Nevertheless, against the evening, the temperature sinks rapidly in the winter months and it becomes sensitively cool. Sometimes even under the freezing point.

Florida is the fastest increasing Federal State in the USA. The population is multicolored mixed, but above all it consists of the Latin American subpopulation, which uses the “Florida bridge”, still for immigration into the states. In addition, many pensioners from all parts of the North America states use the mild climate for their old age.

Miami Beach is separate by the Intracoastel Waterways, (on the picture the part of the Bicone Bay) from the mainland. Dams make the connection over the water “The Causeways”, so called:

The Everglades are a national park and has a surface of 5661 km ². The park borders in the north on the Big Cypress National Preserve and within the range of the Shark Valley on the Tamiami Trail, the connecting road between Miami and Tampa.

The climate of the park is subtropical, because the damp vegitation (sumps). The summers are hot, damp and after thunderstorms, cool it strongly down. The rain duration amounts between 2 to 2.5 hours a day. Particularly in " Glades" are the animal one, as well as the vegetable variety. From aligatores, special kinds of birds, up to the mosquitoes, which represents a lot of troubles special from May to Septembers, are everything represented.

The political system of the State of Florida:

Florida has a democratic 2 chambers system, with a senate of 40 senators and a parliament (they call it House) with 120 members. The present (2007) governor is the republican Chalie Crist.

Politically was Florida in the last years conservatively stored. A mother country of the republican party and often the crucial state with the president shank elections. Whereby in the current president election campaign (2008), went the voices of the electors, to the democratic candidate Obama.

But that`s after the Bush administration, no miracle, if you permit this comment to me.

Last, Florida is a beautiful vacation state, and it is worth always to visit it.
If you can accept “The patriot act”, a safety precautions, of “God`s true and only country”, of the freedom.
