Hey....
für mein auslandsstudium in den niederlanden muss ich noch meinen motivation letter abschicken.
Da ich leider dem Englischen nicht perfekt mächtig bin, würde ich mich sehr freuen, wenn jemand mal über mein werk schauen und verbesserungen vorschlagen könnte...
bin für jede rückmeldung und hilfe dankebar.

my name is ..., I am 19 years old and I am from ....
With this letter I would like to apply for the Bachelor of Science Psychology programme in the Social and Behavourial Sciences Department at ... University starting in September 2008.

At present I finish my A-level at the ... in ... and obtain the high school diploma at 14.06.2008. I graduate my A-level in Mathematics, Biology, Educational Science and German.
To introduce myself, I would describe myself as an open-minded cosmopolitan young man, who wants to discover the world. I like to have nice people around me and to become acquainted with new folks. This is reflected in my favourite hobby, I am an active skateboarder. When I am not out with friends I like to travel to other cities or countries.
In the majority of cases there I visit cultural and historical sights, museums or I try to gain insight of the city life. So far I have visited countries like Spain, France, England, the Netherlands etc and have seen cities such as Barcelona, Marseille, Avignon, London, Utrecht etc. Especially the museum “Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya“ in Barcelona have impressed me. Furthermore I take a great interest in books and reading, watching documentations and I am fond of playing with my four-year-old brother. It is always an amusement to me and interesting to watch or be involved in the childish play and to observe their way of thinking or how they learn.
These personal propensities have led to an active interest in psychology, especially in the psychology of the development and education of children and adolescents. For example I have written a longer term paper in the subject of Educational Science with topic “Interpersonal infantile relationship-experiences as base of personality development” (“Zwischenmenschliche Beziehungserfahrungen im Kindesalter als Basis der Persönlichkeitsentwicklung”).

As a result of my cosmopolitan attitude and my open-mindedness towards people and cultural matters, I decided to choose a study outside .... There are a lot of good reasons why to opt a study in a foreign country, my main reasons are the experience, the possibility to emphasise the own horizon and the opportunity to socialise with new people.

My choice to start a study in the Netherlands is supported by the internet. I found the homepage www.studieren-in-holland.de, where I got a link to your homepage. So I could obtain a lot of information about studying in the Netherlands, especially at ... University.
The Netherlands offer a (multi-)cultural and international atmosphere/life, what in my opinion are good basics for collecting experience, education and personal development. In addition to times of globalisation it is an important aspect to get an international organised education for better commutation, communication and cooperation. Considering these reasons, I think the Netherlands are the ideal place to gain such an education.
The selection to study psychology at ... University is based on the information I received in the internet, your brochures and at the ... University information desk at “EINSTIEG Abi-Messe” in Cologne on 01.03.2008. Furthermore I spent my holiday in summer 2007 in ..... ..., located in the cultural and economical heart of the Netherlands is a beautiful, very lively and entertaining municipality with history close to the North Sea with its scenic beaches.
The attractiveness of ... University is based on its long history, its national and international reputation and its research-based education. The guiding principles as international orientation, research-intensive education and maintenance of the high quality of education and research are the aspects, which I can identify with. The University offers a comprehensive education by highly qualified teaching staff, further ... University is a member of the League of European Research University, which supports the academic relationships throughout the world. I think this concept of education permits the best possible facility of education with an international and research-based background. In my opinion such an education gives me the opportunity for international work-options or the chance to depress the expertise and to direct/analyse your own research.
On this account I have visited a Dutch Language Course since February 2008 and additionally I learn with a pc language programme to be proficient in Dutch.
All things considered the guiding principles of the University, the multicultural international learning environment and the historic, but lively student town close to the North Sea are the reasons, why I choose ... University for my prospective education. I think at ... University I receive the necessary qualities and abilities to pursue a professional career.
