Hi Sydney123,
I was staying in London for two weeks, and visited all the famous sights and took a trip to Stratford-upon-Avon. There we had a real English tea time with delicious cake.
One thing I didn't like at all -the English food.

US? Gimme a ticket and I'll make my way to the nearest airport
I'd like to see my cousins from Minnesota again. It's been two years since they spent their summer holidays here and I really miss my cousin, even if she's only 14 - 3 years younger then my. But hey - age is just a question of attitude, right? |

The United States. Its kinda great there. Only the people are a bit odd (especially the president ).
I went there for three weeks (school exchange, only 900€. Who wouldn't take the chance?)
I went to Philadelphia, Washington and New York (but it was a bit warmer than now).
I am happy not to have lost contact with my exchange partner. We got on very well, because he was really interested in history and politics (you cannot find this very often over there) and we always discuss the latest news.
@sydney:
You were in Florida? It must be great there, but I'd rather go to California -if I had the money...
@Ulli:
Well, the english food is not REALLY delicious, that is right -this is why the English prefer going to Mexican, Indian or Italian restaurants or at least buying their food there .
Greetings from France

Hi,
@Ulli:What is the English food like? Is it true that the people there eat beans for breakfast and the food looks like it was already eaten? Our English teacher told it to us last week.Where would you go if you'd have the chance to go to the USA?
@ MI: I'd like to go to California,too, because I've always wanted to go there. Where would you go? To Los Angeles, San Francisco or San Diego?
I would go to Los Angeles.Maybe I'll go there someday because I've got a pen-pal there. But till that day I have to safe much, much money!
@trin: Yes, I think age is just a question of attitude.
kind regards

@ Sydney: I was in England, too. And in my opinion the English food needs getting used to (I worry about my word order ... it looks like it'd be wrong... ) |

@Sydney123: The English food is mostly fast -food and sorry, the British don't have a cooking culture of their own. Even a steak is as good as in Germany, Spain or Italy. The cakes are very sweet with a very sticky icing.
After we got back from England/London I was as hungry as a wolf.
btw USA: of course if I had the money I would visit Montana, California or Minnesota. Why? I love their landscapes.
Our desire is to travel to British Columbia and Alberta. I hope one day it will come true.

USA - California
I've visited San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego lately.
If anyone want some hints what to visit or see some photos - you can ask me.
Take care

@Ulli: Ooooops! Well, nobody is perfect -and it was late .
And you forgot: The British HAVE a cooking culture: fish and chips in all variations -all disgusting...
@sydney123
I'd visit all of them if I could. But my favourite city over there is San Francisco, -which means that I would start there.
But I would also like to see the Yosemite National Park with these giant trees...

I was in America last year in Spring. My school has an exchange program. I was in Ohio for a month. It was great and my English is better now. The people are very nice. After this I thought I put on weight, because the food is not that healthy, but all in all tasty.
In two weeks my exchange partner is going to come to Germany. So... I'm excited! |

Hi linda,
I wish you all the best for you and your exchange partner . I guess the American people like our German food, especially "Wurstsalat, Knödel "and our cakes and all the different kinds of bread.
