Note that it's "drunken" only before a noun, like "drunken people". In other cases it's "drunk" ("let's get drunk" / "I'm drunk"). |

@Leah:
I think that I dealed with that topic in the 9th grade but that's long time ago..
But if you have some questions I'll try to answer them.
Have you already searched on the Internet for information? _________________ Witness the strength of Street Knowledge. |

hm I don't no whether I can improve you but I can try!
well I haven't been here for a long time because I had a really bad report card. So I'm only at the computer at the weekend.
Well my fave series are Dr. House, I love him, CSI:Miami, Numb3rs and Criminal Minds. My parents hate me watching them haha. they say it's not god for me 'cause it's making me crazy xD
my favorite movies are Electra, Equilibrium-Killer of Emotion, Charlie's Angels, So Close, Wanted etc.
well, to cut the matter short, I love action movies^^
well the difference between "its" and "it's":
"its" is a pssesive pronoun and meens "seiner, seines, seine" or also "ihr ihre, ihren, ihrer, ihres, ihrem".
"it's" is the short form for " it is".

Well your sentence with "its" is definitely missing a verb, so it isn't grammatically correct (that's why it sounds strange, too). If you want to know how to use "its", have a look at the following examples:
The man (he) and his dog are walking down the street.
The woman (she) and her daughter are buying some toys.
The car (it) looks good, but its motor is broken.
So what chocolate4ever told you about the German meaning of the word is basically right, but you can only use it with nouns that can be replaced with "it". |

I just wanna know how do you think about the crime in UK...
because i have read TIMES and there was this article..i just write an paragrap of it...
,, An epidemic of violnce, crime abnd durnkennnes has made britain scared of izs young. What磗 causing the crises??
---here is my opinion then i would like to hear your opinion...
So in my mind the next generation will be worse..if teh y don磘 change something. e.g. the goverment has to conrol people more.
it can磘 be that a 11 year old kid have a gun in his hand..that is very irresponslble.
And if they don磘 change something everybody haven磘 the gust to go out while the people who are in crime devide and seperate themselves more from the social life...
Now it磗 your turn..

Well, let's say that at least for London, Leah's comment really is correct. The toll of brutal attacks among London's youth has risen alarmingly during the last years as far as I know (and it is not just one TIMES article that addressed this matter). I believe the reasons to be quite complex, but a great part will probably be a lack of occupation and future perspective. Paired with a world of alianation and hopelesness, this leads to vicious circle of decreasing self-esteem and increasing readiness to commit crimes.
Just a short comment about my view on this topic.

this seems to be a very nice site to improve one's English.
Therefore it's a real pity that no one's around here anymore.
In fact, my English is rather miserable, so I'm looking urgently for something to counteract this.^^
So, how do/did you learn the language?

I will answer in English. If there is anything you don't understand, just ask.
It is no problem to understand what you are trying to say. Since I am no teacher, it is hard to assess the level of your English, but I can say that it is understandable.
As you can see, there are some mistakes, but as you don't use too difficult sentence structures, you limit the amount of mistakes you make.
Commenting on your mistakes above, I would say that you should pay some attention to the position of constructions like "every day", etc. in a sentence. Those are adverbials of time and they usually go either at the beginning of the sentence or at its end. This: http://www.englisch-lehrbuch.de/grammatik/kapitel18/18_2_2_adverbien_und_adverbiale_bestimmungen.htm might help you.
There are exceptions of course, mostly in order to emphasise, but probably it would be best for you to simply go by the common rules until you get more accomplished in English. The rest is mainly okay, so don't worry too much.
Greetings

Well, I have been to England on multiple occasions, but I have only ever been to London and environment (especially Southend-on-Sea). London is a very big city, so there is a lot to see. I especially like the atmosphere of London, which can be grasped best, when just wandering around, which is what I like to do when I am there.
Of course, when you have never been there, Westminster Abbey, the Tower of London or Buckingham Palace are places you might want to see - but you'll find those in every guide. I'd also advise to take a one-day ticket for the London underground since many interesting places are quite far apart. What I like a lot about London are the big parks like Hyde-Park, Regents Park or James Park, because they help to create this very special atmosphere that I found in London. Of course, parks, etc. are not too interesting for a one day trip, if however you wanted to visit them nevertheless, I'd advise Hyde Park and Speaker's Corner. If you are lucky, there will be some speakers around (most of them come there every other day). I talked to one of them once, a left-wing who had lived in Berlin for several years.
Aside from that, there is nothing special I would say that you have to do or see.
Greetings

Pablo hat Folgendes geschrieben: | okay that sounds nice. Do you think after 3 weeks of studying and living in England, my English will be better? |
There are many parameters involved in how much your English will improve. You will certainly feel more comfortable in speaking English. This is very important, because this will encourage you to speak more freely and more often for example in class (as I gathered, you will be attending school again, soon), which in return will help you to improve your English. Aside from this, it is really up to you, the people around you and your abilities of learning languages. Speak as little German as you can and encourage your guest familiy to correct you as often as possible.
However, I doubt that three weeks will be enough to give you the "feeling" for the language, thus greatly improving your English. This takes more time.
But then - I can hardly predict to what degree your English might improve. I know of people whose English (in terms of correct grammar) has not improved very much after having lived in England for months and others, who jumped several grades in school after only three months.
Greetings

I corrected your sentence above. You will notice the construction with an additional "to". An alternative would be something like "Which cities have you ever visited" or perhaps "In which cities have you ever been", although I don't like the latter (which I believe to have a slightly different emphasis) and prefer the former. The main part which you should probably memorize is the question construction "Have you ever (verb) ...".
Concerning your question, I cannot really answer it fully. I have been to different parts of London and to Southend-on-Sea on different occasions (I believe I visited London about six or seven times and Southend about four times) and this is about it, because all my longer visits date back half a decade or more, when I was neither really interested in seeing as many different places as possible nor allowed to do longer travels completely on my own.
In addition, I have been to Dover and I have travelled a little around Essex, but I can't remember very much. Perhaps one day I will find time to explore the other parts of England as well as Wales or Scotland...

Since I was in England, by "football" I mean the only real kind of football, which in North-America and Oceania is called soccer .
I attended an all-boys catholic comprehensive school (well, it was called "all-boys", but the sixth-form was mixed). Nothing special, no boarding school, since they usually are much more expensive.
