| Meine Frage: Hallo, ich studiere Medizin und möchte ein Praktikum in Indonesien machen. Dafür habe ich hier einen Letter of Motivation geschrieben- für eventuelle Korrekturen/Verbesserungsvorschläge wäre ich sehr dankbar! Viele Grüße Yannick Meine Ideen: LETTER OF MOTIVATION Medical Internship in Indonesia Dear Madam or Sir, with this letter I would like to express my great interest in a medical internship in (your Hospital) My name is Yannick K and I am 29 years old. Currently I am studying medicine in the 6th semester at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität in Freiburg, Germany. Besides internships in german hospitals It has always been a great wish of mine to get some medical experience in Asia. Since I always wanted to visit Indonesia, I hope that I get the opportunity to achieve that experience in your hospital. During the clinical education it is required to gather practical experience in different fields of medicine. As I am very interested in emergency medicine and also tropical medicine I would be very glad if I could complete my internship one of these subject areas, but any other department would be also perfectly fine. I hope that through this internship project I will have the chance to get to know the indonesian medical system and hospital operations. I am eager to see the way how patients are treated and I hope I can witness the therapy of some tropical diseases. I already spent four an a half months in Southeast Asia a couple years ago, but unfortunately I didn?t have the chance to visit Indonesia. I think a medical internship is also a great way to get an impression of the culture and the way of living in your country. Before I applied for medical studies I was studying nursing for three years in Berlin at Vivantes Neukölln, a clinic of maximum care with an international and multicultural patient community. As a registered nurse I worked in Switzerland on a ward for Internal Medicine for one and a half years. During that time I had the chance to train and improve my skills in teamwork and patients? contact. In october 2013 I enrolled at Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg for medical studies. Through my practical experience as a nurse I already had a place in hospital operations and I think that I can integrate and adapt myself very well. The internship is required to consist of a minimum four-week visitation during lecture-free time and its aim is to give the medical student insight on the daily duties of a physician in a hospital. Due to these terms, if possible, I would like to do the four-week internship in March 2017. Thank you very much for considering my request. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
