Hey, bist du noch interessiert. ich würde auch gerne das eine oder das andere verändern. Jedoch weiss ich nicht ob dein Ziel grundsätzlich nur eine gute Note im Fach Englisch ist, oder wirklich zu lernen.

Meine Frage:
Hallo zusammen. Ich schreibe demnächst Englisch. Bisher waren meine Klausuren aber mehr rot als alles andere. Grammatische Fehler und falsche Zeichensetzung waren die Hauptprobleme. Ich hab mich also hingesetzt, viel wiederholt und mal einen Comment verfasst, zu dieser Fragestellung: "The Commonwealth is an outdated institution. Comment on the truth of this statement"

Ich würde mich sehr freuen wenn jemand den auf Fehler untersuchen könnte, vor allem Grammatik und Zeichensetzung. Auch gerne nur ein, zwei Sätze, das hilft ja auch schon.

Meine Ideen:
The Commonwealth is a confederation which members usually were under British rule in the past. Most of the members are officially headed by the British Queen. But why should former colonies closely work together with their former rulers?
The question arises whether the Commonwealth is outdated today or not.
In order to give an answer to this question I want to state three arguments. First, I must make clear: Yes, the Commonwealth is outdated.
There are many useful institutions just like the European Union or the NAFTA in which member states share their experiences and work closely together in order to benefit from others. If you have a closer look, these institutions often consist of member states which are in the same region (for example the NAFTA is for North America) or have the same interests. The Commonwealth differs from that because their members are spread all over the world and have nothing in common.
A second argument I want to mention is that the Commonwealth does not have enough power. For instance, the European Union can pass laws which then every member has to take into their own legislative. The Commonwealth, instead, can only admonish their members? usw.
