ruri14 hat Folgendes geschrieben: | (2) relic: an object surviving from the distant past This is the relic from yesterday. Mhh... (3) decline: a slow weakening in strength, character, or value Recently, we observe a decline in unemployment rates. (4) cord: several twisted-together fibers; a thick string Simson was tied with cords. Wenn, dann aber mit "bound" statt "bounded" (bind ist unregelmäßig) (6) affect: to influence; to impress In a normal school are many bad affects. Also eher: Climate changes also affect the weather. (9) focus: to form a sharp, clear image His focus lies on studying medicine. (10) ache: a dull, steady pain My leg aches. (11) cleanse: to make clean He has to cleanse his room. Gerade ohne "up". (16) detect: to notice the presence of or to discover He detects the thief. (21) traffic: the coming and going of people, vehicles, planes, or ships On the highway, there is much traffic. (23) doctrine: a particular principle tought and believed The pythagorean theorem is a doctrine.
