This letter serves to confirm that Mr xxx was employed on an internship abroad in Puerto Montt (Chile). Mr. xxx worked with us from June until August 2009.
During his time with us Mr. xxx worked on preparing a project for process optimisation of the after sales service which included spare parts ordering, service ordering and sales analysis.
Mr. xxx worked out a very valuable software for us in respect to manage spare parts ordering with our German holding company and the sales services for our customers. Furthermore he considered a sales analysis of our customers in order to increase our spare parts sales.
Die Wörter sagen mir nicht viel - aber ich gehe davon aus, dass das tatsächlich (insb. "after sales service") feststehende Ausdrücke sind.
Mr. xxx was also exposed to some visits calls to our regional customers on Chiloé Island to evaluate the current business situation. Den Teil finde ich nicht so schön, bzw. mir ist nicht 100% klar, was gesagt werden soll. "exposed" klingt eher nach "etw. ausgesetzt sein". Was sollte er machen? "visits calls" - da scheint ein s zu viel, was den Satz verzerrt.
During his time with us we found that Mr. xxx was very willing and able to carry out any duties assigned to him. Ich weiß nicht, aber manchmal heißt ja "er war sehr bemüht" nichts positives - vielleicht sollte man also noch mal betonen, dass er die Aufgaben auch erledigen konnte? Aber das ist natürlich nicht meine Entscheidung. He showed initiative and worked well without supervision. Ist glaube ich geläufiger zu sagen, dass man Initiative gezeigt hat.
Mr. xxx worked very well with his colleagues and was a pleasure to have on our team.
We have no hesitation in recommending Mr. xxx, and should a suitable vacancy arise we would be happy to have Mr. xxx return to Puerto Montt to work with us again.

im Anhang findet ihr ein Praktikumszeugnis, welches ich selbst schreiben sollte. Ich würde mich freuen, wenn ihr es einmal Korrektur lesen könntet.
