| hallo, ich möchte mich für ein austauschprogramm (usa) bewerben und es wäre super, wenn mir jemand feedback zu meinem letter geben könnte. was müsste ich noch umschreiben, wo sind fehler? ich sage jetzt schon vielen dank. Dear Sir or Madam, Hereby I would like to outline my motivation for applying for the xxx program. My name is xxx and I am currently studying at xxx. Since xxx I am taking part in a three years bachelor program of xxx and I intend to focus on xxx. My personal background is quite diverse and reflects my intrinsic motivation for the exchange program. Starting in 1992, my family and I lived in France for six years. This stay gave me the unique possibility to attend kindergarten and the first year of elementary school in xxx. Consequently, I was not only able to learn xxx fluently, but also, internationality became already in early years an indispensable part of my mentality. In xxx, I graduated from „xxx“ in xxx and I received my xxx degree with xxx as major at a perfect grade average of 1,0. After graduating I pursued my inner social motivation and got involved with the aid organization “xxx” in xxx in the course of compulsory community service and I remained as a volunteer for more than one and a half years after civilian service. In addition to my studies, I had the beneficial chance to apply my academic knowledge gained and demonstrate my proficiency through real-world experience working for the international concern “xxx” during several summer holidays. These first steps into the world of work were very important to me since I deepened my hitherto acquired knowledge about xxx, but I also got an impression of an industry, in which I will maybe work some day. Beside developing my personality and broadening my horizon, I regard the xxx scholarship as a unique opportunity to enhance my knowledge for three reasons. First, as my personal history and experience shows me, I feel that a foreign language can be learned much more efficiently and properly while living in the specific country. The constant interacting with native speaking people contributed immensely to my success in French language mastery. Therefore, I consider the xxx program as a precious chance to further increase my English skills and reach an outstanding level of language use. Furthermore, the xxx program collaborates with very prestigious universities of high international reputation. I am a very ambitious, committed and motivated student and not only did I win a respected literature prize, but I am also a member of two different talent networks – xxx and E-xxx - that focus on high potential students and that foster gifted university students. Thus, studying at one of the best universities in the world would give me the possibility to excel at my studies and benefit of the brilliant tuition quality. In Addition, I have been on holiday in the United States twice and I am very impressed and taken by the mentality of American people. They made an extraordinary friendly, helpful and outgoing impression to me. These first positive glimpses and, in general, the multicultural exposure encourage me to apply for the xxx program. With the scholarship I aspire getting a more profound image of American people and I am looking forward to exploring the American culture with its rich diversity of traditions and customs. Bearing in mind what, on the one hand, my interests, prospects and qualifications are, and what, on the other hand the xxx program demands and offers, I strongly believe that I meet the requirements in an overall satisfying way. My personal abilities, skills and academic achievements qualify me as a candidate for the scholarship and I am very enthusiastic and eager to undertake this challenge. The consummate combination of international experience and excellent academic education make the scholarship a desired cornerstone for my personal and educational self-fulfillment and hence, will enable me to pursue a professional career that leads to working across the whole world.
