| The English word "jazz" is supposed to have its origin from Africa and to be brought to English speaking countries by slaves, although a linguist called Krapp claimed in 1925 that "jazz" origined from an old English dialect. | Man darf fast sicher annehmen, dass das englische Wort jazz afrikanischen Ursprungs ist und durch Sklaven in Englische eingeführt worden ist, obwohl ein Sprachforscher namens Krapp noch 1925 behauptete, jazz habe seine Wurzeln in einem alten englischen Dialekt. --> One would almost certainly expect that the English word jazz had an African origin and was introduced by slaves into English. However a linguistics researcher called Krapp maintained in 1925 the jazz had its roots in old English dialect. Tatsächlich war diese Art von Aussage bis Mitte 20. Jahrhundert nicht ungewöhnlich. --> Actually this type of expression was not unusual until the middle of the 20th century.  |

Tatsächlich war diese Art von Aussage bis Mitte 20. Jahrhundert nicht ungewöhnlich. --> This kind of statement was really unusal till the middle of the 20. centurie.
