A survey by the british charity organization “Terrence Higgins Trust” reported that nearly 75% of the adolescents believed that they were not sufficiently informed about the risks of unprotected sex.
Today’s medicines for HIV avoid the augmentation of HIV and its distribution in the human organism, so that they can fight the disease in a certain way in a reduced time. An HIV- infection no longer means a death sentence. A consistent therapy prolongs life and improves the quality of life.
To this day it is not possible to destroy this virus completely and to fully eliminate it from the body. The virus is difficult to treat because it changes its structure all the time. It can retire from the blood where it would be easily accessible into other more hidden parts of the body where it can devolve to a passive state. HIV and AIDS are without cure. The people concerned have to fight it their whole lives.
