Vielen Dank für die schnelle Antwort. Hab soweit alles berichtigt.

Also "there is no way to force me to leave my familiy.
"Firstly" wird meines Wissens eher in Aufzählungen benutzt. "At first" passt hier wohl etwas besser.
Es muss heißen "I asked my wife for her opinion".
Entweder "she does not look happy" (Präsens) oder "she did not look happy" (Vergangenheit).
Besser "about the idea".
Es heißt "more than" (mit a).

Dear Michael,
In the next few months my life could change totally. One of my heads made the decision to send nearly 20 percent of our staff to Owurasu, a little village situated in Ghana, to build a very big bridge. Of course there is no way to force me leaving my family for a term of nearly three months. And of course I firstly cancelled my engagement for that job. But then they decided to tempt me. I would earn summed up the double at that project and the best fact is, that I would lead the construction and that they, in case I will do the job, offered me a better position in our firm after my trip to Africa. Yesterday Mr. Donovan, my evil looking boss –we talked about his madness- gave me a little video clip to convince me of the right way, as he says. Now after watching that film my decision is as open as before. It deals with a guy called Kofi, living in Owurasu showing his dusty environment. Some huts there are wattle and some are made by clay and everywhere you can see rats. On the other hand the nature there is great. If you look at the landscape, you feel like living in paradise. As far as you can see, all over the village there are trees and palms. Everyone in Owurasu is strictly religious. They believe in demons, in ghosts and in Owura, god of the river. But the fact disturbing me most is the poverty not only of Owurasu but also of Ghana in total. Kofi, the 17 year old boy for example cannot afford shoes. His family lives on water of the river, transporting it with water jars, on kokonte meal, flour made by cassava and on cocoyam, a type of food plant. Maybe, if I apply for the job, I could help them a little. Although there are no schools, so nobody is able to read, I think the inhabitants could help us while constructing their bridge and earn money. After watching that pictures, I asked for my wife her opinion. She wants to support my decision, but she does not looked happy, for the idea to have no contact to me for more then ten weeks. And I think she is afraid of Malaria and other illnesses. So please Michael advice me. I do not know what to do!
Hope to see you soon,
Yours Steven!
Dankeschön!!!
