Hi Leute
1. The main sewer was half as wide as The Thames.
2. They have blocked the sewer that leads into the Russian zone. The sewer police was all down there.
3. Somebody had shot and scraped the hand. The torch flew out of his hand.
4. He had orders to look after Martins.
5. Lime had not a torch, he
could
not see a thing.
wegen des past tense
But he fired when Martins was twenty feet away.
6. Two policeman were shot.
It had to make Martins
Was soll das heißen - den Satz verstehe ich leider nicht
.
7. Lime had climed up a few steps of the iron stairs.
8. Martins bent down to listen and then he shot him.
9. Martins has lost his fr
ie
nd. He had not known him all years. (er kannte ihn all die Jahre nicht) In the end he had to shoot him.
10. Anna was at the second funeral.
Her hand was through Martins
"through"? vielleicht "in"? oder "they stood hand in hand"?
.
Die unterstrichenen Wörter passen hoffentlich zum Satz.
a) Calloway was very
dissapoin
t
ed
when Lime did not appear.
b) Martins was
worried
about Anna
's
safety.
Genitiv s vergessen
c) Waiting for buses is
boring
.
d) Ann was less
attractive
then he expected her to be.
Bei den unterstrichenen Wörter musste ich mich zwischen ing-form und infinitive entscheiden.
a) I hope you do not mind
help
ing
me with the translation.
b) We have not finished
reading
the book.
c) Calloway ordered Martins
to wait
for Lime in a cafe.
d) We expect Lime
to
come
to save his friend.
Jetzt nochmal zur Rechtschreibung plus Grammatik:
What have you done yesterday??
Did Ana
want
to come with you??
Vergangenheit --> kein s!
Do you fly back to England today??
Last year I was able to get some information.
If we arrest Lime pretty soon, we are going
to save
(so?)
the lives of
a people
.
wirklich, ein Volk? - nicht eher "ein Mensch", also "a person"
After we had
opened
the coffin, we discovered that Lime was still alive.
"had been open" ist eine unvollständige Passivform - die aber ohnehin hier nicht hingehört
Zumindest das Gröbste sollte ich gefunden haben!
Gruß
