that's not quite correct. 'an' is used when the first letter of the next word is pronounced like a vowel.
e.g.:
an apple
an MTV production (here 'an' is used because the 'M' is pronounced 'EM')
an hour later (silent 'h', 'hour' pronounced like 'our' therefore 'an') |

Hallo, du wolltest wissen how to say entwickeln in English, well, first of all it could mean many things, but in your syntax you could try to evolve. The sentence could be: M and E are evolving a harmonious relationship.
I don´t know whether you´ve heard of leo.org, but it is an English/Deutsch dictionary and quite good.
Viel glück weiterhin.

@kikira:
Naja, aus dem "Kontext" wird das nicht klar.
Für eine sexuelle Beziehung kann man vielleicht "to develop" nehmen -hört sich jedenfalls gut an, gibt aber bestimmt besseres...

to establish a relationship bedeutet, dass man eine geschäftliche Beziehung aufbaut. Aber das, was du da haben willst, klingt eher nach einer zwischenmenschlichen Beziehung.

Ja, das stimmt.
Wenn du's noch genauer auf den Moment beziehen willst kannst du ja auch das present progressive benutzen als Ausdruck für etwas das gerade geschieht.
Marco and Effing are establishing a harmonius relationship.
Wie gesagt: Situationsbezogene linguale Spielerei, das was du da stehen hast ist auch richtig |

to establish a relationship: eine Beziehung aufbauen.
Dürfte somit korrekt sein.
